No one said it was easy being a business owner. If your company is not doing well, you have to think of how it can do better. Once it does better, you need to think about how it can do even better.

And once it manages to do better, you start thinking of how you can maintain its performance, or grow the business even more. It never really ends.

After all, every business owner wants his or her company to do well… and if possible, grow. Business growth isn’t as impossible as it sounds, even in a pandemic. It all begins with making sure that scalability is achievable.

You can start by automating your business processes. Enterprise Resource Planning (ERP) software is one of the ways you can do this.

We have discussed what to consider when implementing ERP, as well as how to go about doing it.

Now, we’ve rounded up six ERP software providers that you can check out.

1. Deskera

What: All-in-one platform Deskera offers integrated accounting, CRM and HR software to grow your business with. Deskera ERP is approved by the Inland Revenue Authority of Singapore.

What it offers: The ERP solutions offered here fall into four main categories: Accounting, Finance and Inventory; CRM & Marketing Automation; HRMS & Payroll; and APIs, Webhooks & Customization for easy navigation.

Noteworthy features: The Industry section of the site profiles specific Deskera solutions for various types of businesses, such as Cafes, Shopify Seller, Franchises, e-Commerce, Creative Agencies, Manufacturing, Retail, Startups, and more.

Price points: The great thing here is that not only are price points clearly mentioned, there are also only three price packages to choose from. All you need to do is select either Monthly or Yearly, and your preferred plan. All prices stated are for per user, per month.

Choose from Startup (US$35 monthly; US$29 yearly); Essential (US$58 monthly; US$49 yearly); and Professional (US$119 monthly; US$99 yearly) – with all the features you will be getting clearly listed out. Better yet – Deskera offers free 15-day trials for all plans.

How to get started: Register here to watch a live demo or simply type in your email address here to start your free 15-day trial.

In a nutshell: We like how the site organizes its solutions into just four categories; and limits its pricing to just three plans.

The prices and features are clearly stated, and the Industry section is extremely helpful to business owners. But the best thing has got to be the 15-day free trial. Definitely worth checking out.

2. Highnix

What: An outfit that focuses mainly on cloud-based ERP software and accounting systems for SMEs and micro enterprises.

It was founded by a team of system analysts, developers and programmers.

What it offers: Two main products to consider here – ERP and Accounting Systems with Peppol e-invoice, and HR/Payroll and Leave Management systems. Under its own Highnix brand, it also offers ERP, plus Enhanced Inventory and Sales Management, and Business Essential System software.

Noteworthy features: The product range is pretty comprehensive and offers much flexibility. Highnix ERP systems are able to integrate with third-party systems from other companies via Application Programming Interfaces (APIs).

You can add other languages, or integrate PayNow QR codes to your invoices via Peppol solutions. Highnix systems can also run on various operating systems, and be accessed via the cloud, on-site, or smart devices.

The company’s products can also be scaled up, upgraded and expanded to suit business growth. Data security, backup and restoration functions are also available.

Price points: No prices are explicitly mentioned on the site. But Perpetual Licenses and Subscription Licenses are available – with the latter being a more affordable option.

How to get started: Read the frequently asked questions here or contact the team here. You can also call them at 6214 1157 or email sales@highnix.com.

In a nutshell: If you have been thinking of getting an ERP or accounting system with InvoiceNow capabilities, this is a great place to start. Whether you want to go big or small, there is likely to be something here that will suit your needs and budget.

Conclusion

Not so long ago, ERP solutions were deemed to be a hefty investment for companies, and the price of implementation failure, even higher.

But these days, ERP is a relatively less expensive option, thanks to the licensing model, and the subscription or software-as-a-service (SaaS) trend.

If you would like to start reaping its benefits, follow this guide to get started on your ERP journey. Be sure to check that full integration and customization are possible before you commit.

Lastly, ensure that you are clear about what you are paying for in your package, and check if tech support and maintenance fees are included.
